Matchbox Pictures looks to Tassie

Matchbox appoints Tassie-based script exec as part of a new focus on state talent.

Matchbox Pictures has appointed Hobart-based writer Ranald Allan as a Scripted Development Executive.

Recently Script Editor on The Kettering Incident, he will be working alongside Debbie Lee and Paddy Macrae from the Scripted Development team at Matchbox.

Matchbox also aims to explore local creative talent and to work in partnership with Screen Tasmania to identify and develop original content.

Managing Director Chris Oliver-Taylor says, “Matchbox is committed to working with the best creative talent across Australia, and we are delighted to be able to add Ranald and a Tasmanian focus to our scripted team”.
