7 Comments:

  1. Seven’s Programmers need to check out websites such as this before inflicting bucket loads of boring Tennis on the few viewers that are still watching FTA TV. The only tennis that rates in Oz is the Australian Open when fans get over excited about the local 3rd raters chances of advancing through the rounds, only to be once again saddened by their early exits.
All these preliminary tournaments have never rated, yet year after year they continue to be shown on at least two of the Seven Networks stations to an almost non existent audience. They wonder why the viewers are giving up on watching FTA.

  2. spectrum warrior

Why doesn’t 7 news do better at this time of year? Where is the loyalty? Where is the habit ? Or is something fishy? I don’t know. All I can smell is fish.

  3. I usually like the tennis, but it has dropped below the radar this year. Then, when I have switched to it, there are no Australians playing. I am unashamedly disinterested in non-Australian players. Unfortunately, some of the current best Aus players are unpleasant to watch play.

    • I agree. Australians only care about the tennis for two weeks of the year. Now that BBL has provided a real nightly alternative to the tennis 7 and tennis are under some pressure. The AO is still a world class event but the BBL is becoming a juggernaut
