800 Words lifts as Seven wins Tuesday

Ratings: It's still a close tussle between MKR & Married at First Sight.

Reality shows at 7:30pm continue to perform for networks, albeit in a much tighter race than twelve months ago, no doubt in part to plenty of press articles about their various dramas.

My Kitchen Rules (1.25m) and Married at First Sight (1.06m) were both up on last Tuesday, remaining locked in a close tussle. I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was down slightly on last week but at 728,000 TEN should be fairly happy given the competition. All three scored high in the demos.

800 Words was also up, from 647,000 last week to 718,000 for a 9pm playout, ahead of Travel Guides dropping slightly from 650,000 to 613,000. NCIS was also up.

ABC, which had a higher than normal run of repeats, saw its ABC News run a close second to ACA.

Seven network won Tuesday with 32.3% then Nine 29.2%, TEN 18.4%, ABC 14.1% and SBS 6.0%.

MKR was #1 for Seven with 1.25m viewers then Seven News (1.03m / 1.00m), Home and Away (762,000), 800 Words (718,0000), The Chase (634,000 / 410,000). Bones drew 282,000.

Married at First Sight led for Nine with 1.06m viewers followed by Nine News (1.03m/ 986,000), A Current Affair (821,000), Travel Guides (613,000) and Hot Seat (462,000 / 267,000). Schwarzenegger The Celebrity Apprentice was just 152,000.

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was 728,000 for TEN. The Project was 579,000 / 335,000, NCIS was 520,000, TEN Eyewitness News was 479,000, and NCIS: LA was 324,000.

ABC News (809,000) was best for ABC then 7:30 (575,000), Ice Wars (355,000), Outback ER repeat (361,000) and Human Universe with Brian Cox repeat (265,000).

On SBS it was Meet the Trumps (265,000), Insight (212,000), World News Australia (149,000) and Dateline (118,000).

Shaun the Sheep (231,000) sure was best on multichannels.
