Veteran ABC presenter Geraldine Doogue has confirmed she is stepping aside as host of religious programme Compass after nearly 20 years.
Kumi Taguchi will assume hosting roles when the show returns in a new timeslot, 6pm Saturdays from March 4th.
Doogue will “hand over the baton” in an interview with Taguchi in the first programme.
However Geraldine Doogue will return as host of Compass specials throughout the year including Modern Prophets, an interview series on key events in the religious and secular calendar, and a one-hour special exploring the potential outcomes of the Royal Commission.
She has been hosting Compass since 1998.
