Renewed: Lucifer

US fantasy / crime has been given a third season with a full 22 episodes.

US fantasy / crime Lucifer has been given a third season by FOX with a full 22 episodes.

The procedural drama, which stars Tom Ellis as the devil working alongside police, is drawing 8 million viewers across multiple platforms in the US.

Lucifer is one of those rare shows that starts strong out of the gate, and just keeps getting better and better,” said FOX entertainment president David Madden. “Tom, Lauren (German) and the entire cast have really made these characters three-dimensional, and the production team — Jerry (Bruckheimer), Len (Wiseman), Jonathan (Littman), Joe (Henderson) and Ildy (Modrovich) — is one of the best in the business.

“We’d also like to thank our partners Warner Bros. for their commitment to this show and we look forward to seeing where this wildly innovative series takes us in season three.”

It screens in Australia on FX. Season 2 is due to resume in the US in May.

      1. Your information is completely wrong. In the US they have aired up to, and including, Episode 13 on January 31. The rest of the season airs from May 1.

FX in Australia has aired up until Episode 10 and are currently showing repeats of early Season 2 episodes.

    1. They are going to be shown starting March 29. This is taken straight from Fx’s twitter:
Due to delivery issues on episode 10 and a Hiatus in the U.S. #Lucifer will take a break and return March 29.
