Legendary US soap The Bold & the Beautiful last week marked its 30th Anniversary, the same day it landed 23 Daytime Emmy nominations.
The show premiered on March 23, 1987 and has now chalked up over 7000 episodes. In between its glossy melodrama and elongated scenes the show has tackled transgender love, homelessness, alcohol addiction, child abuse, environmental conservation and the plight of AIDS orphans in Africa.
Only two original cast members remain with the show: John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang.
This week US fans were treated to the Aussie-filmed episodes, filmed during Sydney’s recent heatwave, which will screen in Australia in May.
