Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds memorial to be Live streamed

Memorial at Forest Lawn can be viewed Live online Sunday morning, Aust. time.

The public memorial for Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will be Live streamed online on Sunday morning, Australian time.

The public memorial will be held in a 1,200 seat theatre at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, where the mother / daughter are buried at 1pm, March 25 (7am Sunday March 26 AEDT).

The event will be streamed live at DebbieReynolds.com

One of the highlights will be the unveiling of a tribute song from James Blunt – Carrie Fisher was the godmother to his child. Blunt won’t be performing, but the track will accompany a photo montage.

Also on the program are the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, a dance tribute from the Debbie Reynolds dance school, and tons of costumes and memorabilia on display.

Fisher’s daughter, Billie, will be present but won’t make any speeches, saying it is too emotional to address a crowd.

    1. Knowing how carefully Todd is working to manage his mother’s and sister’s legacies I imagine it will be up before too long, though frankly I would expect him to charge a fee because Hollywood really did no favours for these women’s pocketbooks. I do not begrudge him any revenue stream at this point. I watched some of it (had some trouble on one machine and had to go to another) and it absolutely made me cry. Debbie Reynolds was an exceptional woman, as was her daughter.

  1. I know what I am doing tomorrow morning at 7. Just started listening to the audiobook of The Princess Diarist on the train the other day and caught myself getting misty. These women are missed, and I am pretty sure they were not fully aware how beloved they are to millions of humans. Thank you for letting us know.
