Ex-Dockers player joins Nine News Perth

Matthew Pavlich to appear twice-weekly on Perth bulletin, with AFL insights.

Former Dockers skipper, Matthew Pavlich, has signed to Nine News Perth to give weekly views on AFL games this year.

Pavlich, who played 353 AFL games and won the Doig Medallist six times, will appear live in the Nine News studio twice-weekly. He makes his first appearance this Monday with an exclusive interview with Hayden Ballantyne, who has been hit by a career-threatening injury.

He will also appear on Thursdays, looking ahead to the weekend games.

“It’s great to be able to speak openly on the game that I love – not just on teams and players, but on the game itself, where it’s going and how it can be better. Thankfully the days of one week at a time are behind me,” he said.

Nine News Director, Shaun Menegola, said: “There are not many people who can match Matt Pavlich’s career or insight at the highest level of football. His reports on Monday night will dig into what’s happening with the game and will give talking points that footy lovers won’t want to miss.”
