There was good news and bad news for TEN last night.
The good news was that Gogglebox was the top-rated entertainment show outside of news with 674,000 viewers -and it topped the demos.
But The Biggest Loser: Transformed slipped again, down to 387,000 viewers, remaining 4th in its slot.
Nine had a staggered evening due to NRL but The Footy Show lifted on last week, as did Live NRL.
Seven News topped the night, and Home and Away was up.
Newton’s Law appears to have settled around the high 400,000s for ABC, while ABC News comfortably won its slot.
Nine network won Thursday with 29.7% then Seven 27.5%, TEN 19.2%, ABC 17.2% and SBS 6.4%.

I would love it if the Goggleboxers reviewed Gogglebox, I reckon it would be hilarious!
I want to see an entire show of cats watching cat videos but I’m worried that my TV will collapse into a singularity.
The only problem I had with Gogglebox last night was that the vast majority shows reviewed were either on Ten or on Foxtel. No shows from the ABC, SBS or other commercial networks.
‘Shaun the Sheep shat all over multichannels with 234,000 viewers.’
Lol!
Last nights was the best episode of goggle box so far this season…maybe even since the show started. Very funny.
Seven’s main channel way behind 9 last night. Weak programming! May be they can’t afford to buy decent programs because they splurged it all on sporting rights.
With those ratings, The Biggest Loser is almost dead and buried. It was not even up against any other reality TV.
NRL did OK in Sydney and Brisbane. Wonder how it rated on 9GEM in Melbourne since the Melbourne Storm were playing.
50k
It rated fairly well (for NRL standards outside NSW/QLD), could be one of the highest-rating matches.
50k.
But less than 10k in both Adelaide & Perth.
I agree. The revived format didn’t work at all and has had significant changes with activities being held.
With AFL coming next week, watch out 10.
Family Feud figures appear to drop significantly without its road block simulcast.
Go Shaun! It’s what sheep do…
TBL:T is clearly Excess Baggage
I like sheep, I must look Shaun up.
Googlebox made it to number one, well it really makes me wonder just how nosey, or desperate some people are to want to watch other people watching different tv shows. Seems like big brother to me.
Nosey or desperate are not adjectives I would use to describe gogglebox viewers.
There are two reasons viewers watch Gogglebox.
Firstly to see someone else’s reaction to a show they watch.
Secondly there might be a show they weren’t aware of that gets their interest. Gogglebox previously did sus’s the eighties on music videos. After seeing that segment I went a watched the episode.
That was SBS’s the eighties on music video’s.
Gogglebox was the only thing worth watching last night.
I notice NRL on Nine continues to rate outside the Top 10 & outside the Top 5 key demos (with less than 500k still in total viewers). Foxtel’s new channel seriously impacting? Won’t be flash when the AFL starts next week.
Ch9 would be longing for the days when they had exclusivity on their choice of NRL games.
But that total is based on 2 cities. NRL was 1st for the night in Brisbane and 2nd (behind 9 News) in Sydney – which isn’t too bad there considering the game was Brisbane vs Melbourne. I don’t think 9 will be panicking about 1st and 2nd in the only 2 markets where the game is shown.
They should get the entire cast of Gogglebox and take them to a matinee of The Book of Mormon, What could possibly go wrong?
