Renewed: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Netflix has renewed A Series of Unfortunate Events for a second season.

The series, featuring Neil Patrick Harris, comes two months after the debut of the novel adaptation.

A video has been posted on the show’s social media platforms linking to the website vastlyfrighteningdecision.com where a letter was posted by the fictional Snicket (Patrick Warburton).

“…despite my repeated warnings, you have viewed the Netflix adaptation of my distressing work, known collectively as Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Some of you have even binged, a word which here means ‘Watched several episodes right in a row, despite having much better things to do with your time,'” he wrote.

Alas, Netflix has funnelled their ill-gotten gains into a second season.

“Even as we speak, set builders, costume designers and trauma specialists are snapping into action” adding, “I hope you’re happy, because you won’t be, ever again…”

  1. I love Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. I’ve been watching it online and it is fantastic. Patrick Warburton is amazing as Lemony Snicket. I am so glad it has been renewed and I can’t wait to watch the next season.

  2. I made a brief start watching this show but as I share the viewing with other family members in the evening I was out voted to switch it off. As I generally have the fortitude to finish shows that I started (apart from those described as reality) I will eventually catch up with this show.
I can imagine that the main following will be coming from those who enjoyed the novel.
