Airdate: House of Bond

Nine miniseries will screen next Monday and Tuesday, following The Voice.

Nine has now locked in its two part miniseries House of Bond for next week.

Originally due in 2016, it will screen at 9pm Monday and Tuesday, following The Voice.

The drama by Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder (House of Hancock) stars Ben Mingay as high-flying billionaire (and former Nine boss) Alan Bond

House of Bond tells the outrageous rags-to-riches-to-rags tale of controversial business tycoon Alan Bond (Ben Mingay) and how he fought his way from the back alleys of Fremantle to become the richest man in Australia and one of our greatest sporting heroes.

The mini-series co-stars Rachael Taylor (Red Dog) as Diana Bliss, Adrienne Pickering (Rake) as Eileen Bond and Sam Neill (House of Hancock) as Roland “Tiny” Rowland, with Samantha Jade, Gyton Grantley, Marcus Graham, Anne Looby, Johnny Ruffo, Roy Billing, Paul Gleeson and Jack Campbell.

House of Bond is produced by CJZ for the Nine, directed by Mark Joffe and written by Sarah Smith, with the assistance of Screen Australia and Screen NSW.

9pm Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 on Nine.

  1. 9pm? Are they serious? I know Monday night’s episode backs onto Anzac Day but Tuesday’s episode does not. Very late finishing times. Maybe 9 are banking on time shifted figures….the way most of us watch dramas I guess….sounds like a good cast but this mini-series doesn’t interest me.

    1. I echo Elizabeth’s comments – starting what’s presumably feature-length episodes (2x120mins?) on a Monday night isn’t sensible. I’m tipping it won’t actually start on-time at 9pm – potentially 10+mins later if recent form is a guide – so a finish time well past 11pm is more than likely.
