TEN is screening a Peter Helliar stand-up special, One Hot Mess, later this month.

A natural-born comedian, Peter takes an affectionate swipe at Australian suburbia, sport, family and fatherhood. His characterisations, terrible accents and relentless and infectious energy have kept Pete at the top of the comedy world ever since he made himself known on Rove in 1999.

It is one hot mess or one mess of hotness? Either way, it is going to be both hot and messy.

8:30pm Wednesday April 26 on TEN.

  1. A good presenters but as a comic his humour is stuck in the 1990s. I am wondering did he have this in his contract that Channel ten had to screen one of his stage shows?

  2. A very apt description right now for the network this’ll be on. They’re not even giving some shows a second week to try to build an audience, and they muck around with ones that aren’t doing too badly.

They’ve undone all the good work dragging themselves up from the hole that Lachlan left them in.

  3. I’m going to make an effort to watch this! Peter Helliar is hilarious. I recently saw Dave Hughes and Rove perform at a comedy festival, would love to add Pete to the list!
