Biggest audience of the ratings year

Ratings: MKR rebounded for Seven, while TEN slipped further behind.

My Kitchen Rules rebounded for Seven last week, pulling the biggest audience of the ratings year so far, at 1.44m viewers on Wednesday.

Seven easily won over Nine in Total People, plus Demos 16-39, 18-49 & 25-54, ranking first in all 5 metro cities and taking every night of the week.

TEN slid backwards as The Biggest Loser: Transformed weighted down their primetime share.

Meanwhile ABC bettered TEN on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Best brands for the week were:

Seven: My Kitchen Rules (Wed: 1.44m), Seven News (Sun: 1.05m), Sunday Night (896,000) and Home and Away (737,000).

Nine: Married at First Sight (Sun: 1.19m), Nine News (1.05m), A Current Affair (770,000) and 60 Minutes (688,000).

ABC: Vera (780,000), The Coroner (769,000), ABC News (Sat: 755,000) and The Halcyon (733,000).

TEN: Formula One Australian Grand Prix (Race: 705,000), Gogglebox (688,000), The Living Room (502,000) and TEN Eyewitness News (478,000).

SBS: Great Continental Railway Journeys (335,000), Britain’s Ancient Capital: Orkney (232,000), Cleopatra (217,000) and The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs (216,000).

Next week we begin 2 weeks of Easter non-ratings.

  1. Seven will tick last week off as a clean-sweep.

    Nine will know now that they certainly ran with Married too long, just not a show set-up to match MKR’s length.

    Impressive to also claim all the key demos & even more so to win every city (including Sydney – Nine’s strongest – despite having NRL which didn’t do much).
