Oops. First on Nine story nearly 4 years old.

Nine's clip of an offensive bus rant took place in 2013, and made news in 2017.

Just days after Seven was exposed in running a 2 year old story as news, Nine has now followed suit.

This offensive rant on a Sydney bus took place in 2013 but ran in Today‘s bulletin yesterday.

Alicia Loxley told viewers the clip had nearly 1,000,000 views -yet it was still watermarked as “First on Nine.”

Nine has been contacted for comment.

  1. This is what happens when News becomes what the News agencies think News is. Gone are the days of real Journalist chasing, producing and telling stories to the people in the name of public interest. These days First is seen as better then Fact, a racial rant filmed on an iphone beats a 3 minute well written story about why al-Assad is a bad man. We the viewer are the silly ones that still turn on at 6pm just to get angry at what we’re show. Imagine turning on at 6pm to hear stories that make you laugh and cry, to hear fair and balanced comments that make you think and discuss with your family or to see pictures that are so powerful they burn into your brain for days. Imagine.
Dear Networks, Please pretty please start spending some money on Reality and less money on (produced) Reality.

  2. Whatever Seven can do, Nine can do better…

I can see a time in the not too distant future when the “news” on both networks will consist entirely of footage lifted from YouTube.

And all of Seven’s programming, obviously.

  3. “has surfaced”? Seems it’s been on Youtube since May 2013 – May 2, 2013 – Uploaded by aclamas /watch?v=CiLpFG5uUc0
Furthermore, according to an old news.com page “No conviction for racist Sydney bus rant” the woman, Bernobich appeared on A Current Affair on June 3, 2013.
