  1. Yeah I presumed once the footy came on the appeal would got to 7two. Yes they kept promoting the number and cause and at 1/2 time they showed a story on one of the dogs players and his premature twins and also money from this match is going to the appeal but I do wonder how busy the phones were at that time.

But I guess people especially in melbourne know today is all about the appeal. So if the wanted to donate then they would.

  2. For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved spending Good Friday on the couch watching the Good Friday Appeal. But this year Channel 7 have outrageously ruined it by taking it off and playing a football match instead. Surely they could have kept the telethon going on one of their other channels. Such poor form that corporate greed has taken over the spirit of the telethon. In fact, with a two hour break in the middle of it to broadcast football, it really can’t be called a telethon anymore. Whomever at Channel 7 is responsible for this decision should be sacked!

    1. Wasn’t aware of this. AFL commitments have obviously taken over, but you’re right it should have continued on a multichannel. I will ask. If it affects the total there will be problems.

  3. A heads up for viewers outside Victoria. You can watch the telethon on the Plus 7 live stream. Just enter a Victorian postcode and you can watch and donate.

      1. Hey, David. Don’t forget to tell people outside Victoria that they can just enter a Victorian postcode so that they can watch the live stream.

Glad to be of service. 😉
