Married at First Sight couple splits

Just one couple from the least season remains together.

Married at First Sight couple Simon McQuillan and Alene Khatcherian have split.

The couple who were paired in the last 2017 season were regarded as one of the show’s most likely to succeed.

“It was a difficult decision but we have decided to part ways,” they said in the joint statement.

“We remain the greatest of friends and we will continue to be part of each others’ lives. We thank you for (respecting our) privacy at this time.”

News Corp questions whether long distance was a factor for McQuillan, 37, who owns Atlas Balance in Booval, and Khatcherian, 31, a nurse from Sydney.

Just one of 10 couples remains together from this year’s series, Nick Furphy and Sharon Marsh, although Zoe Hendrix and Alex Garner from Season 1 became proud parents last November.

TEN’s Bachelor Tim Robards recently proposed to partner Anna Heinrich.
