New Aussie thriller for SBS, Dead Lucky.

House Husbands writers pen a new 4-part crime thriller Dead Lucky for SBS.

SBS has commissioned a new 4 part crime thriller from the writers of House Husbands.

Dead Lucky, which has been funded by Screen Australia, takes place on a perfect Sydney day, when the lives of two feuding detectives, a share-house of international students, a pair of corrupt shop owners, a grieving widow and a gunman all collide, leaving one dead and another missing.

This makes the third local drama in the pipeline for SBS, with Sunshine and Safe Harbour on the way plus returning comedy Family Law.

Written by House Husbands creators Ellie Beaumont & Drew Proffitt, it will be directed by David Caesar.

Screen Australia has also funded a second season of TEN’s The Wrong Girl, plus previously-announced drama, Sisters.
