Renewed: Animals

Animated US comedy Animals has been renewed for a third season by HBO.

The series, which centres on New York City’s lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or ageing bedbugs has lured an impressive voice cast including Aziz Ansari, Ellie Kemper, Danny McBride, RuPaul, Jason Alexander, Whoopi Goldberg, Emilia Clarke, Ice-T and Jonah Hill among others.

The series by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano, produced with Jay Duplass earned a two-season pickup from HBO in 2015.

It airs in Australia on the Comedy channel.
