Supernatural and Scooby-Doo cross-over

Ruh-oh! This is not a drill.

Ruh-oh!

A cross-over between Supernatural and Scooby-Doo was announced this past week by The CW.

For real.

Not much detail was announced by the network, but this will be an animated cross-over for Supernatural‘s 13 season.

“Stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki took the stage at The CW’s 2017 Upfronts Presentation on Thursday to announce that the show will do an animated Scooby-Doo crossover in its 13th season. Although some thought it could be a joke,” says Entertainment Weekly “EW has confirmed that the episode is really happening. No word yet on whether the rest of the Scooby Gang will join in on the fun, but fingers crossed!”

  1. Well said SPN. This show can do no wrong in my eyes. They embrace the fans and have fun with the concept and are not afraid to try anything new.

This animated episode at least gives Jared and Jensen a bit of a break mid-season. 22/23 episodes every year for 12 years is a huge workload and theres only two main characters.

    1. I think they would just be grateful just to be in a job . If this was on any other channel it would have ended many years ago . Crazy

    1. Actually…that was season 4, ep 19 “Jump the Shark” 😉

The Scooby cross-over is not the wildest thing they’ve done. There was that time the brothers got caught in a TV land and had to play the rolls in different TV shows – like a Japanese game show and CSI. Or that time cartoons came to life and real anvils dropped from the sky, and flags saying Bang came out of guns. Or that time where they were thrown in to an alternative Universe where they were actors called Jensen and Jared on a TV show called Supernatural – which hardly anyone watched. Or that time they ended up at a Supernatural convention, because there are these books written about them and the books have these fans (the books are written by a Prophet called Chuck, AKA God). Or that time they stumbled into a case that involved a girls’ school putting on a musical based on the books – their life as a musical played out…

  2. According to show leads, Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) and Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester), who are attending a convention in Rome this weekend, the Scooby ep is currently slated as episode 16 of season 13. They have already recorded the dialogue for it, and it is currently in production being animated.

Supernatural Showrunner Andrew Dabb confirmed via twitter the writers of the episode are, Jeremy Adams and Jim Krieg.

Show creator Eric Kripke also confirmed this is a thing “Known this for awhile, can now reveal how Psyched I am! I loved those Scooby-with-celebs episodes. Now to be one? Heaven. #scoobynatural”
