Long-running US soap The Young and the Restless has been renewed for three seasons by CBS.
As US TV’s most-watched daytime soap, it is averaging 4.93 million viewers.
“CBS Daytime has never been stronger. From 30 consecutive years of being No. 1 in the ratings, to another year as the most honored network at the Daytime Emmys, our lineup of talk, game shows and dramas connects with our audience like no one else,” Angelica McDaniel, CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution executive vice-president of daytime programs and syndicated program development, said in a statement. “All of our talent, on screen and behind the scenes, is hard at work making the upcoming season of these award-winning series even bigger and bolder.”

When “The Young and the Restless” moved to Foxtel’s Arena channel from the Nine Network, episodes were almost 12 months behind the USA.
Arena is now screening two episodes per day, back to back, to catch up and bring the series into line with “Days Of Our Lives’, which is on a par with the US screenings, promoted as being “fast tracked”.
By reading ahead on the Y & R website, it can seen gleaned that Australia is now only about 3 months behind the US.
And those fashions about 15 years behind?
About right, I’d say. I only see it because my wife is addicted to it. (I know, they all say that. lol)
David, I think you find you have picked an old photo, given one of the actors in it left the show a couple of years ago
Not sure. Foxtel offers a few photos last dated June 16. I don’t follow the show.
