Disgraced actor Robert Hughes has lost his appeal in the High Court, now a failed final bid to cut short the six year sentence he is currently serving.
Hughes was convicted of molesting four young girls, including some incidents on the set of Hey Dad!
Hughes argued each accusation was too different to be regarded as a tendency under law.
But in a four to three ruling the High Court supported the evidence used in the conviction.
Hughes is serving a non-parole period of six years, with a maximum term of 10 years, for 10 counts of sexual and indecent assault of four young girls over a period of 20 years in the 1980s and 1990s.
Hughes, 68, has been in jail since 2014 and will remain until at least April 2020.

It was not a unanimous verdict. Full bench sat. 4 judges dismissed the appeal. 3 judges allowed it. https://t.co/a0sPa2ME5K
