Yotam Ottolenghi Week on MasterChef

SBS foodie stars across TEN's Masterchef all next week.

Yotam Ottolenghi Week begins on MasterChef on Sunday.

The Israeli-born, London-based chef-restaurateur has appeared in food shows on SBS, including Yotam Ottolenghi’s Meditteranean Feast ,and joins the TEN series after the exit of Marco Pierre White.

Matt Preston previously said: “A charming man, a beautiful cook and the author of truly inspirational cookbooks, Yotam has been at the top of our ‘must have’ list for many years so I’m delighted that we have finally persuaded him to come exclusively to inspire and mentor this year’s contestants.”

The 15 contestants enter the MasterChef Australia kitchen for the start of a new week. The judges reveal that today’s challenge is a mystery box with ingredients chosen by the master of Mediterranean cuisine, Yotam Ottolenghi, who will be joining them for the entire week.  The contestants have 75 minutes to create a delicious dish using one or more of Yotam’s favourite ingredients in the mystery box, with only five dishes to be tasted. The maker of the winning dish will receive an advantage in the invention test.

7:30pm Sunday on TEN.
