Airdate: Footy QLD

Nine Queensland has a new state-based NRL show, Footy QLD to be produced by Crocmedia.

Gary Belcher and Scott Sattler will host, along with Scott Prince and Brent Tate as guest panellists.

The program will be filmed in Queensland’s Channel Nine studios at Mt Coot-Tha, with all the weekly NRL news and analysis from a Queensland perspective.

Channel Nine Queensland’s Production and Programming Manager, Geoff Cooper, said: “There is no doubt Queenslanders have a thirst for more locally focused footy content. We are confident Footy QLD will provide top-class NRL insight and entertainment for our viewers and thrilled to be broadcasting this exciting program from our Mt Coot-tha studios.”

“I am thrilled to be on board working with such a great team. There’ll be no shortage of lively discussion,” said Belcher.

“With the Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys looking like certain finalists we’re looking forward to debating and dissecting each team’s finals fortunes.”

Crocmedia Executive Director, Chris Giannopoulos, said: “We are expecting big things from this program. Queenslanders are some of the most engaged footy fans in the country and there is real reason for excitement as the NRL season reaches its pointy end.”

Sunday at 1.00pm on Channel Nine (Qld).

2 Comments:

  1. Crocmedia, run by the recently fired host of the AFL Footy Show.

Meh what garbage, Channel have any decency they should bring back Andrew Voss

  2. Sorry Nine I’ll be sticking to Queenslanders Only on Fox League which has much bigger names involved. Obviously trying to ride on the coattails of the above mentioned show.
