ABC hits play on Screen Time

Chris Taylor to front a Gruen-style show discussing film, TV and online titles.

ABC will film for Screen Time, hosted by Chris Taylor, a Gruen-style show discussing film, TV and online titles.

But the show won’t offer Margaret & David-style reviews.

Fairfax reports Screen Time will also feature a rotating pool of celebrity guests such as Mark Fennell, Nakkiah Lui and Benjamin Law. The panel will offer recommendations for those looking to discover the next Game of Thrones or Handmaid’s Tale, as well as unpack the big issues in Australia’s film and television industry.

An ABC spokeswoman said the 10-part series is due to air on October 17.

Last October in these fictional Upfronts TV Tonight suggested a revival of TVTV. “What to binge? What to miss? Confused? Overloaded? After 24 years TVTV returns with Amanda Keller, Andrew Mercado and Marc Fennell cutting through a plethora of new titles and TV news bombarding our small screens to make sense of it all.”
