Here are the details of the AFL Grand Final week across both Seven and 7mate.

Grand Final day coverage will include Bruce McAvaney, Brian Taylor, Tim Watson, Leigh Matthews, Cameron Ling, Luke Darcy, Matthew Richardson, Wayne Carey, Hamish McLachlan, Basil Zempilas, Nick Riewoldt, Daisy Pearce, along with Sam Lane and Mick Molloy.

Sunday September 24

Game Day
Hamish McLachlan hosts Game Day to preview and analyse the biggest week on the AFL calendar with Leigh Matthews, Brad Sewell and Simon Goodwin. Belinda Sloane will preview the Brownlow and we talk to the winners from both Preliminary Finals.

AFL Brownlow Medal
On Monday night the Brownlow screens live on Seven, starting with a fashion-focused Brownlow Red Carpet Special at 7.30pm, co-hosted by Hamish McLachlan and Belinda Sloane, with Rachael Finch and Brendan Fevola. Then Bruce McAvaney hosts the prestigious count to find the winner of the AFL’s most coveted individual honour, the Charles Brownlow Medal. X Factor’s international superstar Dami Im will perform live.

Saturday September 30

Grand Final Footy Marathon
Re-live some of the greatest Grand Finals ever played as we count down to this year’s AFL premiership decider. Featuring the Grand Finals from 2016 Sydney v Western Bulldogs, 1975 Hawthorn v North Melbourne, 1990 Essendon v Collingwood, 1989 Hawthorn v Geelong and 1977 North Melbourne v Collingwood. The marathon ends with a look back on the last time the two teams competing for this year’s flag clashed.

Hamish McLachlan hosts Game Day Live from the MCG to preview and analyse the biggest week on the AFL calendar with a stellar line up including Bob Murphy, Nick Riewoldt, Luke Hodge, Nic Naitanui, Jude Bolton, Daisy Pearce, Jimmy Bartel and more. The panel also looks back on the best marks, goals, controversies and funniest moments of this year’s AFL season.

The Kick

  1. I’ll be watching the GF parade on Fox Footy on Friday – then the NM breakfast and longest kick Saturday morning. Might switch over to 7 when the game starts.
