Good Omens: first photo

These unlikely lads are none other than David Tennant & Michael Sheen, now filming Amazon saga.

These unlikely lads are none other than David Tennant and Michael Sheen in first image of upcoming Amazon series Good Omens.

David Tennant stars as Crowley whilst Sheen stars Aziraphale in the six part series, based on a novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Equal parts humour and horror, fantasy and drama, it is written by Gaiman (American Gods) also serving as Showrunner. Filming is underway for the next six months in London, Oxfordshire, Forest of Dean and locations in South Africa.

Gaiman says, “People have fallen in love with an angel and a demon in a book by Terry Pratchett and me, and they have been excited and nervous to see how they would appear on screen — and I was probably the most nervous and excited of all. This is a first look. Michael Sheen is the best and finest of bookseller angels, David Tennant the coolest and most delightful of demons. Together they are one hell of a double act (or do I mean, heavenly?).”

It will screen on Amazon in 2019.

  1. Oh dear. So much wrong in that photo. Michael Sheen musters a pass as the fussy angel Aziraphale but David Tennant is completely wrong as Crowley. This wig and clothing make him look like Bill Nighy on as bad day. Crowley is very specifically described as dark haired, high cheekboned and ultra fastidious in his grooming and dress sense. Tennant looks like a sleezy middle aged divorcee trying to look cool. What a pity they have gotten one of the leads utterly wrong!
