Never mind the footy, Shaun Micallef is a guest on the the Today show tomorrow…..could be great time for an announcement about game show revivals?

Just sayin’….!

With Australia swept up in footy finals fever, Today will broadcast from the home of the Tigers at Punt Road Oval in Richmond, Live from 5.30am tomorrow.

Karl, Lisa and Richard will be joined at the ground by a host of special guests including Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, die-hard Crows fan Lleyton Hewitt, comedians Shaun Micallef, Dave Hughes and Denise Scott, coaching legend Kevin Sheedy and Nine’s Livinia Nixon and Alicia Loxley.

And Today viewers are invited to a front row seat from 5.30am before Richmond team hits the field for their last training session ahead of the big game against the Adelaide Crows this Saturday – the Tigers’ first Grand Final appearance in 35 years.

As both the AFL and NRL gear up for a long weekend of Grand Finals, we’ll have all the colour and excitement of both codes, with Christine Ahern meeting Melbourne Storm’s number one fan and Natalia Cooper will present the weather from Townsville, in the heart of Cowboys Country.

Lifelong Tigers fan and Weekend Today presenter Tom Steinfort will anchor Today’s sport coverage from Punt Road Oval where thousands of fans are expected ahead of Richmond’s final training session.

The broadcast will cap off a huge week of traveling for the show, having hit the road on a We Love Australia adventure taking in Cairns, 1770, Griffith, and Yarra Valley.

Viewers and Richmond fans are encouraged to come to the ground to watch the Today broadcast from 5.30am – 9am and to secure an early seat for the Tigers’ pre-Grand Final training session.

  1. I don’t think there’s any doubt that it’s coming back any more – audience tickets went up for grabs two weeks ago. It’s taping at the Docklands studios on weekends throughout October.
