Bob’s Burgers the movie

A feature film of Bob’s Burgers will be released in 2020.

The animation, which centres on Bob Belcher’s hamburger restaurant and his family, was created by Loren Bouchard.

“We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show,” Bouchard said. “We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever-so-slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s — but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!”

FOX Television Group chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden said, “What a year for Bob’s Burgers! First, the Emmy Award for Best Animated Series and now, an amazing opportunity for the gifted Loren Bouchard to take the Belcher family to movies. Loren, Jim and their talented team continue to knock it out of the park week after week, and seven years in, the show is still growing. ”

It airs in Australia on ELEVEN.
