Breaking Bad house installs fence to avoid flying pizza
Frustrated Albuquerque home-owners take steps to ward off rabid Breaking Bad fans.

An Albuquerque house that featured as Walter White’s home in Breaking Bad has decided to install a large fence after years of tourist.
Some steal rocks from the landscaping as souvenirs, while others even throw pizza onto the roof, re-enacting a scene when Walter throws a pizza on his roof after his wife discovers he is dealing drugs and refuses to let him in.

“We feel like we can’t leave because when we, do something happens and that’s ridiculous,” Joanne Quintana, daughter of the owner said.
Quintana said she loses count of how many people come to the house. Over one weekend she estimates it climbed into the hundreds.
“They feel the need to tell us to close our garage, get out of the picture, you know — tell us what to do on our own property,” Quintana said.
“We don’t want to gate ourselves in,” she said. “We’re the ones who’s being locked up. We did nothing wrong.”
Frank Sandoval, who runs Breaking Bad RV Tours, admits “We hear about it on a daily basis, so much so that we’ve gone up on the roof to pull pizza’s down.”
Two years ago, creator Vince Gilligan scolded fans on a podcast about their antics.
“There is nothing original, or funny, or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof,” Gilligan said.
“It’s been done before, you’re not the first.”

Albuquerque’s version of Pin Oak Court?
There are pros and cons with just about everything. What’s occurring is not nice or right but owners and occupiers need to consider the potential consequences when they grab the cash offered for allowing their home to be used.
At the time they agreed I doubt they could have known that the show would become a cult hit like it did. Really doesn’t excuse people being idiots. Having said that if I were in their shoes I would probably sell up – they would probably get above market price for their house as some fan might buy it.
