Move over Stan. Walter Presents is coming to Australia via Foxtel On Demand.

The foreign language drama service, named after its drama curator Walter Iuzzolino, will showcase over 150 hours of TV from Europe & South America.

Walter Presents is a Channel 4 video on demand service which launched in the US earlier this year

Fro November 1st it will feature Spanish prison drama Locked Up, Brazilian serial killer thriller Merciless and French noir Vanished by the Lake. New release dramas will be added every month. HBO Latin America’s Fugitives, Mexican crime saga Mr Avila, and Belgian thriller 13 Commandments, will soon join the line-up.

From mid-December, Showcase will also have a Friday night Walter Presents slot to feature some dramas.

Walter Iuzzolino said, “Australian audiences are some of the most forward thinking and sophisticated in the world.

“They have a hunger for compelling, quality international drama as demonstrated by the success of Nordic Noir here and we are thrilled to be able to broaden the scope and palette of the international drama offerings further with additions from countries as diverse as Mexico, Holland, Chile, Spain and Belgium.”

Foxtel director of content Ross Crowley said: “In teaming with master curator Walter Iuzzolino, we’re genuinely excited to bring some of the boldest, most exciting, premium dramas from around the world to our On Demand catalogue.”

  1. I’m a little confused, what is Foxtel On Demand, is this Foxtel Go, or Foxtel Play? Or this this the catch up service on the IQ3 box where you can find shows you missed earlier in the week?

    1. It’s a fair question and one I have raised before (there are still too many brands). It is their catch-up section. Shows will be free to people who have the Movies and Drama Packs (on cable/ sat) and the Movie, Pop and Drama Packs for Foxtel Now.
