Harvey Weinstein audio reveals NYPD sting

Devastating audio between Hollywood mogul & Filipina-Italian model has been published by New Yorker.

Devastating audio of Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein allegedly attempting to coerce an actress into a hotel room has been published by the New Yorker.

In March 2015, Filipina-Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez accused Weinstein of groping her breasts and putting his hand up her skirt during a meeting at his office.

She filed a complaint with the New York police department, and the next night met with Weinstein again, supported by an NYPD undercover operation and while wearing a wire, according to the New Yorker.

The New Yorker’s excerpt of a police audio recording takes place in the hallway outside Weinstein’s room.

The NYPD said it investigated a misdemeanour sexual abuse complaint against Weinstein and the case was referred to the Manhattan district attorney’s office. The office decided not to file charges.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie told the New York Times, “I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did. This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.”

Gwynneth Paltrow told the New York Times that when she was 22 years old and a relatively unknown starlet there was an incident with Weinstein. Paltrow confided in only a few close friends and family members, including Brad Pitt, her boyfriend at the time. Pitt confronted Weinstein, instructing him never to come near Paltrow again — and Weinstein called Paltrow up in a fury.

“He screamed at me for a long time,” Paltrow told the New York Times. “It was brutal.”

  1. Once the police have determined there is no evidence of a crime, they leak the tape so he can be tried in the media. I guess that’s Due Process these days.
