Mark Salling facing 4- 7 yrs jail over child porn

Disgraced Glee star makes a plea deal with US prosecutors after child pornography charges.

Former Glee star Mark Salling, 35, has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and now faces four to seven years in a US prison.

In a plea agreement filed with the US District Court for the Central District of California he pleaded guilty to “one felony count of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor.” The filing states that more than 50,000 images and videos of child porn and erotica were found on his laptop, in addition to about 4,000 images and 160 videos of child porn found on his USB flash drive.

The plea deal will see him register as a sex offender with 20 years of supervised release. He will also pay $50,000 in restitution to each of the victims who request it.

Salling was first arrested for possession of child pornography in December 2015 following a raid on his residence. In May 2016, he was indicted on two counts of child porn, and charged with receiving and possessing child porn on his laptop and a USB flash drive. After the case was referred to federal authorities, he pleaded not guilty in June 2016.

In 2013, Salling was sued for sexual assault and battery by a woman who alleged that he had unprotected sex with her despite demands he wear a condom. Despite his denials, a judge sided with the Plaintiff, demanding Salling pay her a whopping $2.7 million. Salling filed a countersuit for defamation of character. The case was later settled out of court.

Salling played bad-boy Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee from 2009 to 2015. He visited Australia in 2009 during a Glee promotional tour.
