9 Comments:

    • Movie rights tend to change every few years or so.

Now more so than ever, contracts/rights agreements seem less relevant today.

Multiple distributors appearing on multiple networks now.

      • Its a big strange now, isn’t it?

I remember 20 years ago you could bank on every Universal movie being on Channel 10 – except for some reason Ch 7 got to pick 1 Universal movie every year. I remember this because I thought it was odd Jurassic Park was on 7 instead of 10. Ditto with Fox movies on 10, Paramount and Warner Brothers on 9 and Disney studios all on 7. Then there was Roadshow films that were split across all 3 networks depending on the movie studio they were produced by (New Line being on 9 for example)

        The “good old days”

  1. TEN’s success on Friday was short-lived. Saturday night’s ratings are terrible. No excuse of there being footy on the other networks. Nine beating Seven on a Saturday though is more unusual.

  2. According to media week 84000 metro for a league on one which isn’t to bad a start . Maybe a bit more promotion will help. NBL on viceland was 15000 metro
