Fans in revolt at 9 changes

Having a messageboard may backfire for Nine at least if some of these comments are anything to go by. Pausing Nip / Tuck and dropping The Young & The Restless has fans fired up, and they’re not afraid to use MSN to say so.

“Congrats Channel 9. You have replaced Nip/Tuck with a show which has already been axed in the US. What the hell are you thinking? Channel 7 already has Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, 24, Desperate Houswives etc which all rate well, you have a jewel in your hand and you just cant show it to the public can you? When you failed to air Nip/Tuck for over a year it angered people but then you redeemed yourself by airing it again. But taking a show off mid-season (when you are in fact not airing the same season as the US) is ridiculous.” -Mel

“Myself and my house mates are wondering when (Nip / Tuck) is coming back!!!! We love to sit around and watch it. It is such a wicked show and we really want to know when it will be back on!!!!! Please channel 9 bring it back!” – Lauren

“I think it’s a joke that Channel Nine have dropped the most popular soap for a new crap talk show – like we need anymore of those!! I’ve been watching this every day since I was a little girl and my mother was watching before I was even born. I’m quite sure I’m not the only loyal fan of this much loved daytime soap that is devasted by this decision not to mention those like myself who don’t have or don’t want Foxtel or Austar. Young & The Restless like other soaps of it’s kind are an escape from the crap that goes on in the real world today – even if it is just for an hour!! But instead we will now be subjected to yet another talk show. Oh goodie – can’t wait! I wonder what the ratings will be like for Channel Nine this year?
