Eurovision: 6 weeks and counting!

Hard! Rock! Hallelujah!

Not long to go before Eurovision 2007 is upon us.

After that dreadful win by those crazy Fins, we will be whisked off to the capital of Helsinki for the first time, for another night of musical madness.

But if you can’t wait till then (and let’s face it, who can?), you can already hear excerpts from all of the eligible songs at the official Eurovision site.

Methinks I’m going to need some dedicated Eurovision pages here at TVTonight just to keep up with all the excitement!

This is the time of year when we love SBS most. And oh, for Terry Wogan!

Eurovision airs May 12 with the semi-final two days before.

  1. Glad to see SBS are showing the semi final on Saturday instead of Friday. After all the scheduled programming they are now showing on Friday night is crucial viewing – A documentary titled “Turn me on – the history of the vibrator”. Seriously !!! We now have to wait 2 days for the semi final and this creates all sorts of problems downloading score sheets without finding out who qualified for those of us hosting parties. Come on SBS – how about showing it live.

It is by SCOOCH who had a some minor hits a few years back … I saw it on Utube. Just search for Scooch – Fly The Fag … I mean Flag I think it is called.
    Jack!

  3. What a great show, having been watching it for years. Remember those whom became greats? ABBA, BUCKS FIZZ, OLIVA NEWTON JOHN and of course Irelands own Johnny Logan

Where can I find the UK entry?

  4. 🙂 no i don’t work at SBS, but i emailed them a while back to confirm when it was going to be on, and only this week got a response with the dates.. it is a change for them though, the semi-final is normally on SBS on the Friday night, they’ve added an extra day’s delay there.

  5. Look at you, even I don’t have that info (do you work at SBS?).

Yes figured that’s what we would get as per last year, but thought I would hold off until I’d received official word.

    Ta!

  6. Counting the days to Eurovision as I have been since the 70’s … love it!!! Have you seen the UK entry … so camp and so NOT going to win!
