Historic docu-drama from ABC

Wendy Hughes will narrate a new ABC docu-drama series looking at historic engineering projects, Constructing Australia, to air from 7:30pm Sunday March 18 when Planet Earth concludes soon.
Theatre actors including Bill Young, Danny Adcock and Peter Sumner will play key figures in the first story “The Bridge,” about the building of Sydney’s coathanger.
Constructing Australia is the first three-part docu-drama series to be produced under the Film Australia Making History Initiative.
The second and third eps will look at building a huge pipeline and telegraph line into the heart of Australia.
It is Executive Produced by Alex West, who put together the excellent Who Do You Think You Are? which is currently on UKTV.
