Lost losing it

Lost is in trouble.

For the second week running it has come third in its timeslot.

Last night Missing Persons Unit was the top show of the night with 1.24m viewers. In the same timeslot, Law & Order: SVU had 1.20m and Lost trailed with 1.14m.

Such figures are a shadow of its first season glory consistently around the 2m figure.

And the news is about to get worse. On March 29 Seven isn’t even screening the show.

Instead it will have a double episode of Bones. Last night the drama had 909,000 against the return of The Footy Show 1.03m and Law & Order: CI’s 912,000.

In the US the show was bumped to a later 10pm timeslot, reflecting growing disillusionment from the audience.

Lost still has a loyal following in Melbourne where it was the night’s # 1 show with 416, 000. But Sydney only won 292,000.

  1. Once again, thank god for torrents! The show gets better, Currently the eps are moving and looking great! (US eps) But who cares if they take it off, we wont be missing it.

  2. I was addicted to LOST for the first year … but now it is mostly just more of the same and it has become very self indulgent for the writers and producers and we the audience are feeling left out of the joke. It was good in it’s day but it is not strong enough to compete with the new kids on the block like HEROES, BROTHER & SISTERS, UGLY BETTY and the rest. It needs to give up gracefully … NOW!
