So what’s happened to Smallville?

Smallville has been pulled from TEN’s schedule.
TEN has advised that the programme, which is normally a summer filler, was extended this year, but has been dropped due to low ratings.
This was tactfully manoeuvred around the Easter non-ratings season when many shows are rested for two weeks.
But Smallville won’t be returning when normal programming resumes.
After a long backlog of episodes, there are about 12 more which have aired in the US to date.

I’m very vey upset that you all took my all time pass time show off the air. That is sooo unfair.
That post was written in March 2007. Since then TEN has screened all eps on TEN HD and is up to date.
Im really dissapointed that smallville has been axed. Have you ever really checked to see how many people follow smallville. I can gaurantee you that there would be a lot more followers of smallville than there is for the simpsons. Now thats a garbage show I wouldnt even allow my kids to watch. Smallville has some great actors and it was one show i actually enjoyed to watch. I rarely watch channel 10 anymore. There is nothing of interest. The Simpsons take up 2 time slots. Followed by futurama. Another garbage programme. I honestly believe that people have given up on you. You rate these programmes through the capital cities. Why dont you go to the country areas. We are the ones who actually watch T.V Now you can understand why ratings have dropped with other programmes. You dont actually go to the people who actually watch T.V. Yes Im from the country and T.V is my only entertainment. Well it used to be.
Words fail me! Another example of arrogant attitudes from the TV stations. It just adds insult to injury. This is just like when they say that they don’t crank the volume up for adds. How stupid do they think we are? I wonder what the ratings really are for Smallville? Why don’t they ‘axe’ a few overpaid tv executives instead. They could make a ‘reality’ tv show out of it. Maybe the long suffering viewers could compete to wield the axe.

Just when it gets really good with that hot new guy and very interesting storylines! These Programmers really make me despair … no wonder shows don’t rate when they keep crippling them deliberately with this kind of action!
