You can tell Easter non-ratings are around the corner. There’s some unusual offerings on the horizon.

Nine has Strictly Baby Ballroom coming.

The UK special promises, “the weird and wonderful world of juvenile ballroom dancing. Based on exclusive access to the child couples and their parents, we follow their lives for a year in the run-up to the most prestigious major ballroom competition of the season, The British Juvenile Ballroom Championships in Blackpool.”

I’m hoping the 50 minute doco resembles a Christopher Guest mockumentary but I’m not holding my breath.

Strictly Baby Ballroom airs 7:30pm Wednesday April 4 on Nine.
