Music to your eyes

Music fans are in for a treat soon with several key shows coming up on the box.

This Sunday it’s MTV’s AVMA Awards from 8:00pm. Guests and performers include Good Charlotte, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, Pink, Jared Leto and 30 Seconds to Mars, Eskimo Joe and lots more. They’ve even brought out Nicole Richie for the event (Why? Oh that’s right, Anna Nicole wasn’t available).

But the beat doesn’t stop there. Not only is Eurovision just around the corner, but to get us in the mood SBS is screening the San Remo Song Festival from Italy. And have a listen to their line-up: Scissor Sisters, Take That, Mika (could it get any gayer?), Joss Stone, John Legend and Norah Jones.

The San Remo Song Festival has been running longer than Eurovision and it’s the reason we never see Italy in the latter. It was staged in Feb / March this year.

SBS will screen the contest over five Saturday afternoons, so keep your wits about you if you want to see these acts!

Filmed at music festivals across Australia, view superb live performances, fans experiences and intimate interviews with a stellar line- up of acts including WOLFMOTHER, GOMEZ, BOB EVANS, BLUE KING BROWN, OZOMATLI and ZIGGY MARLEY.
