Returning: Jericho. Gone: Veronica Mars.

Jericho’s nuclear drama will now be seen on Friday nights from April 27, and Veronica Mars appears to have been struck by the fallout.

Jericho will screen at 9:30pm following the return of Big Brother Friday Night Live.

TEN famously launched the series simultaneously with the US last year. Despite a strong premiere here, the show then levelled out to a more modest following and did not return when CBS screened new eps in February.

TEN will now pick up Jericho with the episode “The Day Before” which screened in the US on February 21.

It’s a bit odd that the drama didn’t gain a higher profile timeslot on another weeknight … say Mondays or Tuesdays at 9:30pm?

As a result of Jericho’s return, Veronica Mars looks to be dropped from the current schedule after April 20. 11 more episodes have aired in the series with another 5 yet to come.

There has also been speculation that the series was axed in the US.

  1. I was excited about Jericho at the start but it just seemed to wander off in the wrong direction and, just like LOST, seemed to be getting a bit boring by playing games and taking too long to give us any answers. I will give it another go but it may not hold my attention this time.
