More Hamish and Andy

TEN is bringing back repeat eps of Real Stories with Hamish and Andy.

The comedy will follow Rove at 9:40pm from Sunday June 3.

TEN tried a Sunday edition of Big Brother: Up Late but it didn’t attract decent figures at the earlier time.

So instead it will bring back the current-affairs parody which premiered last year. In the series presenter Jennifer Adams wryly plays herself on “the fifth-best current affairs show in Australia.”
Big Brother: Up Late follows afterwards at 10:10pm.

  1. It’s interesting how Ten’s called it “HAMISH & ANDY’S Real Stories”. It reminds me of when Nine promoted afternoon repeats of the final season of “Head Of The Class”, as “BILLY CONNOLLY’S Head Of The Class”! To me, it looks somewhat arrogant that Ten thinks people will just tune in because Hamish and Andy are in it.

  2. Nope. But the change was late on Friday, maybe it hasn’t filtered through to the BB on air team yet.

Here is Ten’s amendment (even tho its is bound to run 10 mins over):

    Sunday 3 June 2007
    9.40pm Insert: ‘Hamish & Andy’s Real Stories’
    Insert Class: (M) (RPT) (CC)
Insert Cons. Advice: Some Coarse Language, Adult Themes
Insert Synopsis: Tonight we look at Street Accountants. The public are increasingly getting their tax done by illegal, unregistered accountants who walk the streets at night soliciting for work. Featuring Peter Helliar.

    NEW RUNDOWN:
    8.30pm ‘Rove’
    9.40pm ‘Hamish & Andy’s Real Stories’
    10.10pm ‘Big Brother Up-Late – Sunday’
    11.40pm ‘Moto GP’

  3. Mike Goldman said nothing about a new timeslot next week for “Uplate”. He actually said a few times that they were on “each week, right after ‘Rove'”. Could Ten have changed its mind already? I think the ‘problem’ with their Sunday night programming is that because they have two live shows one after the other, the scheduled 9:40pm starting time of BB Uplate tends to be pushed back to around 10pm by the time the Eviction Show and ‘Rove’ run over time (which both invariably do).

Anyway, has there been a change to Ten’s scheduling since the announcement was made here?

  4. All 8 episodes of Real Stories have already aired, and the complete series has been released on DVD earlier this week, so I’m assuming that they’ll be repeating the series since TEN can’t think of anything else to put in that slot. *cough* Veronica Mars *cough*
