Poll: World’s Biggest Events

The History Channel is looking for votes for its upcoming series 12 Days That Shocked The World.

September 11? Hiroshima? Princess Diana’s Death? There is a list that you can vote for here.

History will then screen the list from June 11 – June 22 in a 20 to 1 style countdown.

At least this programme will seek viewer input and base its findings on something partly-concrete. The problem with Bert’s lists are they are merely devised by producers.

But I also think The History Channel has the wrong title. Shouldn’t it be 12 days that changed the world? I mean Man On the Moon is on the list. That didn’t especially shock us (especially as we followed the whole journey), but it delighted us, and it changed us for ever more.
