Rove from NYC

Rove is set to broadcast two episodes in July from the US, one in New York and one from Los Angeles.

The elaborate move is seen as away of maintaining the show as a prime Sunday night choice for TEN viewers.

The last episode of Rove was a disappointing 863,000, the #65 show of the week. It was beaten by CSI‘s 1.64m.

And this week the show won’t even get underway until 9pm due to the Big Brother double eviction (Gretel thought she had let the cat out of the bag last night, but TV Tonight tipped you off last Wednesday!).

Rove was great during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, no doubt he will have some juicy guests in the American episodes.

  1. I don’t believe this information has been 100% confirmed as yet.

According to the original source (The Sydney Morning Herald):

    ——————————-

Ten’s chat show Rove hopes to record two shows in July in New York and Los Angeles as part of a strategy to push the show across the one-million-viewer mark and reinforce its part in Ten’s Sunday night schedule.

It follows an appearance last week by host Rove McManus on America’s Tonight Show in which he was introduced as “the Australian Jay Leno”
