Vale: Norman Kaye

Actor Norman Kaye has passed away at the age of 80.

Better known for his movie roles, particularly with filmmaker Paul Cox, Kaye’s television appearances were frequent on local dramas including Flying Doctors, Prisoner, Homicide, Power Without Glory and Wildside.

His last TV role was in 1999.

In 2000 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Last year Cox made a moving documentary, The Remarkable Mr Kaye.
