Must admit I’m not exactly looking forward to Jeff McMullen’s debate series Difference of Opinion returning. It didn’t exactly set the world on fire when it aired earlier this year.
The new series will record 4 eps in Sydney before moving to its new base in Melbourne. And the show has a timeslot change. Now Denton is back, McMullen has been pushed to 9:25pm Thursdays.
The first ep will feature an examination of Australia’s nuclear future. Former Telstra boss Ziggy Switkowski,is the chairman of ANSTO – the national body in charge of nuclear research and development. Joining him is Dr Helen Caldicott, a leading anti-nuclear activist.
Maybe this show needs a brawl to grab our attention? Or maybe borrow a few tips from Geoffrey Robertson. His old “hypotheticals” were fantastic.
Difference of Opinion returns 9:25pm Thursday July 19 on ABC.
