More Heroes in 07

Hot on the heels of Nine and TEN premiering new US seasons this year (Damages / Californication) Seven will deliver new season of Heroes and Prison Break just days after their American airing.

The shows kick off in the US on Sept 24 and August 29 respectively.

Seven has also picked up Mark Philippoussis’ Age of Love.

Nine also has Posh is Coming to America according to this article in The Age.

With the exception of news on ER most of the other titles announced in the article have already been covered in TV Tonight before.

  2. About bloody time!!!!
    As I have always said … if they do the right thing by us and not keep us waiting for 6 – 9 months after our favoured shows are aired in the US (or UK … Dr Who, Torchwood, etc) then we will do the right thing and not download them!!!
    See … we rebels are changing the face of TV … one show at a time!

  3. Fantastic news about “Prison Break”! I started downloading episodes once Channel 7 Brisbane decided to stuff around with the schedule and pull episodes every three weeks so as not to compete with the State of Origin (ditto in Sydney). I was in Melbourne last week and watched the second last episode, then went straight online to download the season finale (I’m not waiting another few weeks to see it here!).

    Regarding “Heroes”, David can probably verify this, but I suspect the ratings have dropped due to the different broadcast days in Brisbane/Sydney and the rest of the country…..yes? (Thursday in Brisbane and Sydney, Wednesday everywhere else).

  4. We will prob continue to download everything, the networks here change things without notice, re-schedule times, too many adds, etc…downloading keeps it to our schedule.

  5. i see in the ratings that heroes has just gone down and down which i feel is in part to people downloading it. now that it will screen shortly after the airing in the USA people might stop doing that. i am not even sure i will watch it since the final episode was so bad.

  6. Just when I decided to download the new season where it debuted!

    I wonder if Seven’ll do the same with LOST, given the ABC(US) won’t air season 4 until February 2008.

  8. Fantastic news in regards to Prison Break, just can’t wait for season 3. I guess my internet bill will drop substantially now that i don’t need to download the latest episode seeing that seven will screan episodes a couple of days later.

    I guess C7 finally learnt that people are not willing to wait months to view episodes!
