Nine women, partnered, single, straight, gay, black and white, aged 65 to 87, express with humour and startling honesty how they feel about themselves, sex and love in later life, and the poignant realities of ageing. Outspoken for their generation, these women mark the beginning of a sea tide of change. Women over 65 are already the fastest growing segment of the population and when the baby boomers begin to turn 65 in 2011 their numbers will swell.

Their mirth comes to a grinding halt when Keith turns up on the doorstep. Keith is a well known film star. Wilfred gives Adam a wry smile – “you got your work cut-out for you.” At that moment, Keith introduces his dog, Cyros. Wilfred also has his work cut out for him.
