4 eps in a leaky Boat

Channel Nine’s shiny new drama Sea Patrol has had episodes leaked on the internet.

In a breach worthy of border security investigation, the first four episodes are being downloaded as torrent files from illegal sources. Only two have been aired by Nine.

The $15m production offered its first episode for free download in advance of its broadcast as part of a promotional launch, but all remaining episodes are only legally available via ninemsn.com.au for around $2 each.

So far only screened eps are legally available, yet episode four “Irukandji” is already online via the internet.

Time will tell whether the advance screening backfires as encouraging online viewing, or whether it creates more buzz for the show.

NB: No comments with torrent addresses will be approved on this site.

Kindly link to this website when sourcing or posting in messageboards, thanks!

  1. I expect it is a publicity stunt by Nine to try to salvage what will soon be a sinking ship and big embarassment for them. The ratings won’t last because the show is very sub-standard!
