Cancelled: Pirate Master

And this time it’s not just in Australia.

CBS has cancelled Pirate Master – effective immediately.

There are five more episodes of the reality series due to air in the US, but they have been pulled from the schedule entirely.

Now they can only be seen via internet.

In theory TEN could still screen the eps in the lacklustre Sunday afternoon timeslot it has shifted to this week.

In “reality” why would it bother?

  1. CBS could have least finished the season. If they are saying “we dont plan on making any money from the final episodes”..then what did they have to lose???? Not everone has access to a computer. Like was stated before…make a box set of the series and sell it. I would buy it just to show CBS that they dont know whats good for the TV audience

  2. As one of those of us who did invest time into this show I would have liked to have the opportunity to see the conclusion.I am ashamed of CBS for their lack of thought for the viewers they did pick up.
    SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!
    Pd Off in TN

  3. I told a friend of mine, don’t bother watching this show, it’ll be cancelled half way through and you won’t find out how it ends … and what happens! But I’m not afraid to say I told you so!

  4. Since CBS is now effectively saying “we don’t plan to make any money at all from the final episodes,” they should just do the obvious – put ’em all on a DVD, and send them to the REAL “pirates” for xvid encoding and subsequent BitTorrenting 😀

I’m surprised by such a drastic move by the US network, but I’m not surprised as far as the show is concerned – it was tediously designed, yawn-inducingly put together and the so-called “challenges” were the stuff of a cub scout holiday camp. And the contestants? Completely insane, and not in the kind of way that makes for entertaining viewing 🙂
